Henna is a plant known for it's use to color and condition hair naturally. The henna plant grows in warm climates in India and Rajasthan.
The leaves from the plant are crushed and made into a paste to safely draw designs directly on the skin. The results of this temporary tattoo will be reddish brown and will last a few days to several weeks.
After "growing out" my uneven eyebrows I decided to venture into the world of threading. After finding Amita on Yelp I called and was able to make a same day appointment on a Friday afternoon.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. She has a cute little space. It was relatively quick (though not as quick as waxing) and it didn't hurt that much! ( I compared the feeling to having a rubber band rubbed on my face) Although, I initially thought my brows were too round, Amita quickly gave me more of an arch, and in the end I was really satisfied and I will definitely be going back!
She is cash/check only, and luckily she has 3 banks within a block of her studio! Valerie A.
